Explore the endlessly unique printmaking technique – monoprinting – through popular and easy to wield gelli plates. Countless possibilities feature colors, patterns, stencil masking, textures, and function. Print on papers and fabric to create finished frameable prints, cards, books, and starting substrates for mixed media projects. Full of surprises and fun!
Start on your adventure with oil painting. Learn how to organize your palette, mix colors and apply paint to the canvas. Previous knowledge of drawing is a must!
Take your painting out of the studio and into the outdoors! This class is about organizing your set-up, choosing a subject and making the most out of your time. The instructor will be working in oils, but all media are welcome.
Add dynamic intensity to figure drawings with the impact of color. Emphasis on value study and structural color fields, not realistic rendering. Experiment with paper prep, creating a variety of surfaces and palettes. (Repeat and new students encouraged.)
