Up Your Arts and the City of Southport are very eager to welcome artists back to our beautiful town for the 2021 Southport Plein Air Festival on June 18-19!

This popular outdoor painting event was reintroduced to Southport in 2019 after an absence of several years, including being cancelled in 2018 by Hurricane Florence. Last year, unfortunately, the festival was again cancelled, this time by the Covis-19 restrictions; so here we are, not knowing for sure, but fervently hoping it will be smooth sailing this year! We’ll be monitoring local restrictions on public gatherings as it gets closer.

Not only are there a number of opportunities for artists to make incredible art throughout the festival, we also have great food and drinks, music guided tours, contests, classes, and more…
