The 2021 Southport Plein Air Festival promises something for everyone on June 18-19. The City of Southport and Up Your Arts invite you to join us in Southport for this one-of-a-kind event. Each year, Southport, North Carolina welcomes painters across the country to take advantage of our incredible scenery by painting ‘en plein air’ or in the open air. This outdoor festival is free with fun activities for the whole family!

While artists register and paint our glorious coastal sunsets, join us for these free activities!

• 3pm-6pm
  Opening Exhibition – music, art, food and drink and a painting workshop at Moore Street Market
   
• 6pm-8pm
  Free Concert at the Gazebo – Music by the Back Porch Rockers on the gazebo in Franklin Square Park
   

Jun 19, 2021 Southport Plein Air 2021 Day 2

Activities on day 2 will be located in Keziah Memorial Park, thanks to a grant from Brunswick Arts Council, will showcase celebrated Gullah-Geechee storyteller, Anita Singleton-Prather.

• 10am-3pm
  Kids’ Plein Air – Give your children an opportunity to create their own masterpiece at the Kids Plein Air (art supplies provided).
   
  Gullah Geechee Storyteller – Live music and Gullah Geechee storyteller Anita Singleton-Prather
   
  Refreshments – Bring a picnic, or come hungry for lunch and snacks with 2 Bros Coastal Cuisine and dessert with Chilly Treats, serving up delicious goodness all day.
   
• 4pm-6pm
  Wet Paint Sale -Come meet the painters during this Wet Paint sale, discuss their techniques, and buy their art!
