Jwantana is a whirlwind of civic engagement. Her current role as an elected member of the Dosher Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees follows years of trailblazing in our area, including being the first African American female elected to the Southport Board of Aldermen and the first graduate of Brunswick Community College to serve on the BCC Board of Trustees.

Jwantana is an active real estate broker and she and her husband also own and operate a service business. It’s hard to imagine when she finds time to appreciate music as much as she does, but that’s part of her magic: more energy = more joy.  More Jwantana = more Up Your Arts.
